AppSense Appoints New VP of Channel

AppSense has appointed a new VP of Channel for the US, and it’s an interesting grab, since the new appointee is Richard Jackson, a former Citrix executive. He’s being brought on board to expand the channel and address partner growth. Here’s the scoop…

AppSense’s forte is virtualization technology that provides personalized virtual desktops without the need for script writing or managing profiles. Citrix, whom many know, increasingly focuses on virtualization. So it doesn’t seem like a big leap for Jackson to jump on board with AppSense.

Jackson’s focus will be on Western US regions, along with AppSense’s new US channel program. AppSense is looking to expand and enhancing their existing partner program, while also increasing the speed of their outreach. The enterprise market is their focus, and AppSense cites Jackson’s “wide-range of experience in both start-ups and major corporations” as the blend of knowledge they’re looking to inject into their partner programs.
