Precise Launches Managed Application Performance Services

Precise, which specializes in “transaction performance management,” has branched out with Precise MSP, a managed application performance service designed to ensure QoS (quality of service) for end-customers. Apparently, this is Precise’s first-ever managed services play. Here are some details.

The new managed services offering connects Precise experts with customer networks over a secure VPN, according to the press release. Once connected, those experts watch applications 24 hours a day, seven days a week and isolate performance problems, helping guide issue resolution.

Customer data and Precise Transaction Performance Management (TPM) software remain on premises, which Precise says enhances flexibility and security while also keeping the door open for the client to develop their own management practices down the line. And to that end, Precise MSP will train, consult, and mentor customers on TPM practices.

There’s all kinds of chatter around the application management space this week, it seems. Are vendors using the market as a springboard to enter the managed service business. We're watching.
