Panorama9 IT Management Platform Intros Perfect Pager

Web-based IT management platform Panorama9 is planning a number of enhancements in 2013, and the first has debuted today. It’s a new personal alert system called Personal Pager, designed to ensure the right team members is alerted of network problems immediately. The new feature builds on alerts already offered by the San Francisco-based IT management company. Here are the details.

The Personal Pager alert takes Panorama9’s existing email and text alerts a step further. IT administrators will receive a call from a live human who can inform them about which server or service is down, when it happened, and what, if anything else, is going on inside their network, according to the company. The company says its solution is the first to combine asset management and live-call alerts.

IT providers can set up phone lists to specify who needs to be alerted under what circumstances. The calls will go down the list of names provided until someone picks up. If there’s still no answer, Panorama9 will begin calling again from the top of the list.

Allan Thorvaldsen, CEO and co-founder of Panorama9. He added that Perfect Pager is unique because it is a live phone call rather than just an automated message.

Panorama9 is offered as a pay-as-you-go subscription-based service with tiered pricing plans. A 30-day free trial is available to new users.
