Zoho has updated its Assist remote support software.

Business, collaboration and productivity applications provider Zoho has retooled its remote support software.

Zoho Assist, the company’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) software, now includes a revamped file transfer window, a new HTML5-based technician console in Linux and Mac and a “Help Me” tab for live support.

“We now have completely rewritten software, a few more servers and have achieved maximum session speed. IT support technicians [around the world] rely on the speed of remote support software to achieve quick resolution. That’s why we now bring you increased screen refresh rates,” Zoho wrote in a blog post.

Zoho Assist is designed for independent IT technicians, outsourced IT firms, remote PC repair service professionals and small and medium-sized business (SMB) IT support specialists, according to the company. It is an on-demand, Web-based software and enables users to provide assistance across Linux, Mac and Windows platforms.

The company also launched Zoho Assist for iPad that enables users to:

  • Ask IT professionals for assistance

  • Capture screenshots of a remote computer

  • Switch between multiple monitors

  • Take control of a remote computer

A free 30-day trial of Zoho Assist is available for download here.
