Vorex, a professional services automation (PSA) platform provider that has recently made a play for the MSP market, is now providing access to its applications from the Samsung KNOX Marketplace.

The Dallas-based project management and PSA provider said that it is offering two versions of its platform via the Samsung KNOX Marketplace, which offers more than 40 cloud apps to organizations worldwide.

Samsung KNOX is a service introduced by the Android mobile handset provider two years ago in answer to concerns over security and privacy in BYOD environments (bring your own device). The Vorex apps available on the Samsung KNOX Marketplace include the following:

  • PSA – A project and time tracking solution, PSA features customer and employee management tools such as project management and integrated customer relationship management (CRM).

  • Service Desk – This platform features business management tools to enable business owners “to manage the entire business workflow anywhere, anytime, all from a single platform,” according to Vorex.

Vorex CEO Mike Salem noted that providing his company’s solutions via the Samsung KNOX Marketplace enables Android users to better secure their data and apps.

“As business users migrate to different operating systems, busy small and medium-sized business (SMB) owners still need to track overall performance to grow their businesses in a secure and reliable fashion, regardless of the device they’re on,” he said in a prepared statement. “We’re pleased to be a part of the Samsung KNOX Marketplace to reach a wide range of Android users who require secure data and applications.”

Vorex said its platform is designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) “better manage and grow their businesses,” and this PSA platform provider continues to target the MSP market.

Vorex officially entered the MSP space in September, demonstrating an MSP module at the Cloud Partners Conference in New Orleans.

Salem told MSPmentor that Vorex has “always aimed to develop innovative solutions for MSPs.” He also said Vorex expects to announce partnerships and integrations with several remote monitoring and management (RMM) and backup vendors over the next few months.

In addition, Salem pointed out that Vorex will continue to listen to its customers to “develop a product that MSPs truly need.”
