TeamViewer Launches 10th Anniversary Edition of Web Meeting Software

TeamViewer this week launched TeamViewer 10, a new version of its remote control and online meeting software that enables file sharing via cloud storage services Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Web meeting and remote control software provider is ready to help with its new release.

The new TeamViewer release also enables users to control Linux, Mac and Windows computers over the Internet, expanding the mobile devices supported to include BlackBerry smartphones.

“We’ve worked hard to implement the features our millions of users around the world have asked for,” Kornelius Brunner, TeamViewer’s head of product management, said in a prepared statement. “We’re proud to launch the 10th anniversary release of TeamViewer, the next big step in TeamViewer history.”

TeamViewer representatives said the 10th anniversary edition of its online meeting and remote control software is designed to make it easier for businesses to provide a secure, customized and integrated user experience across devices.

IT administrators can use TeamViewer 10 to promote cross-departmental file collaboration and sharing and can apply, distribute and enforce setting policies centrally via the TeamViewer Management Console too, according to TeamViewer.

Other TeamViewer 10 features include:

  • Faster login and load times

  • New whitelisting capabilities

  • One-click video calls

  • Online waiting room customization options

  • Real-time session notes

“Businesses that adopt TeamViewer 10 will be able to increase the capacity of their IT teams with a powerful and comprehensive tool with cross-platform compatibility, new and improved video and chat functionality, deep customization, enhanced control features and a fresh new design,” Brunner added.

TeamViewer said its new release is available immediately for all major operating systems (Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Linux, Mac and Windows Phone 8/RT).
