Pulseway just announced the launch of new standalone patch management software, Pulseway Patch

The software will allow MSP partners to keep their environments patched and secured. This is all without needing to switch their current RMM provider.

“Patching is vital, given the rising rates of cyberattacks and remote work,” said Marius Mihalec, founder and CEO of Pulseway. “This is true whether you are an MSP taking care of your clients’ systems, or an internal IT department making sure that your IT infrastructure is up to date and secure. Many organizations still rely on time-consuming manual intervention for patching, and this can create delays in deploying critical patches. So, we launched patching as part of Pulseway RMM just over a year ago as we saw the need for a powerful, automated, yet easy-to-use patch management solution.”

Mihalec says some organizations aren’t able to change their RMM solution. So given the increased focus on patching, this standalone product made sense to meet the demand in the market.

Pulseway Patch boasts complete IT network security by keeping operating systems and software up to date, the company said. Since the patching process is automated, all systems update instantly once a patch is available. The patch management software’s security aspect addresses the concern businesses may have about vulnerabilities in their IT network.

The Breakdown

Pulseway Patch comes with a range of features critical to preventing software vulnerabilities. They include:

  • Mass deployment: Technicians can automatically discover endpoints, thus ensuring patches are mass deployed to every endpoint that needs them.

  • OS patching: IT teams can patch and keep operating systems maintained up to date. This prevents IT networks from becoming vulnerable to cyberattacks that target outdated operating systems.

  • Third-party patching: Pulseway Patch includes direct access to more than 85 commonly used third-party titles. If you need to patch other software not on the list, you can add it through the custom titles module.

  • Patching automation: With patching policies, technicians can schedule and automate the patching process. As a result, they can keep their IT environments up to date without any manual intervention.

  • Central management: With Pulseway Patch, technicians can centrally manage all their patching tasks from a single, unified platform to ensure consistent patching throughout the network.

  • Reporting: Pulseway allows you to generate customized reports on your patching status. This helps businesses stay up to date with patching tasks. It also helps them regularly monitor and document the overall security health of their IT environments.

“Pulseway Patch has been by far the best tool that we have invested in for the efficiency of our business,” said Phil Law, managing director, Spicy Support. “Everything, from agent configuration to setting up your own policies, is very easy and seamless. The now-automated patching process requires minimal manual intervention, which saves us a lot of time. As a result, our team is able to focus on more pressing business issues and generate more revenue.”
