Piriform’s CCleaner Business Edition (BE) PC optimization tool will now be available as part of a module that is  integrated with the Kaseya IT management platform. The module is offered by Piriform development partner, Greater Intell, which has created several add-on modules for the Kaseya platform.

CCleaner has enjoyed success as a standalone tool for optimizing PC performance. To make the tool more useful to managed service providers (MSPs), Piriform has worked to create integrations with IT service management and remote monitoring and management platforms such as Kaseya, (announced this week in conjunction with Kaseya Connect 2014) and LabTech Software in October 2013.

Piriform said the new CCleaner module for Kaseya lets MSP users of that platform automate the cleaning and optimization of desktops they manage via the CCleaner tool set. Functions include cleaning, defragmentation, and scheduling.

“This new CCleaner/Defraggler integration will empower Kaseya partners to proactively maintain and optimize their endpoints without ongoing manual interaction,” said David Miller, Piriform VP of sales and business development, in a prepared statement. “The module’s additional functionality such as cleaning across user profiles, scheduling, and extensive reporting provides added value for Kaseya’s partners and their end users.”

Greater Intell’s contribution to the CCleaner integration with Kaseya includes customized development of the product to offer deeper functionality for Kaseya managed service providers, the company said in a statement. 
MSPs who use the CCleaner module with Kaseya have a few options when it comes to providing its services to their end customers, Piriform said. For instance, they can offer their customers a monthly subscription to the service or offer it as a bundled service that adds value to the overall service offering.

The CCleaner integration is not the only module that Greater Intell offers for the Kaseya platform. The company offers several modules including a dashboard that is mobile-location aware. Greater Intell is led by former Kaseya development executive Corey Mandell.

Mandell told MSPmentor that this and other add-on modules for Kaseya provide MSPs with a single pane of glass to manage their customers with extended tools.

The integration enables MSPs to schedule maintenance tasks for different times of the week, form example, or create rules for running the module.

Greater Intell has a booth at this week’s Kaseya Connect conference, and David Miller and Piriform will be on hand to answer MSPs’ questions.
