LabTech Software has launched a redesigned plug-in for the deployment and management of ESET security solutions. The remote monitoring and management (RMM) software provider said the update gives  managed service providers (MSPs)  “instant, comprehensive protection against evolving cybersecurity threats.”

LabTech Software said the ESET Remote Administrator (ERA) plug-in now provides “an easier, more intuitive user experience.” The plug-in offers configuration, deployment, management and reporting capabilities for ESET solutions, LabTech Software said, all within the LabTech console.

Other plug-in features include:

  • Customizable dashboard views

  • On-demand endpoint scans and virus signature database updates

  • The ability to deploy ESET Endpoint clients and ESET-specific configurations to Windows, Mac or Linux clients

“This new plug-in ensures our customers using LabTech’s RMM platform have a centralized view of their secure IT environment that is easy to manage and adjust,” ESET North America CEO Andrew Lee said in a prepared statement.

LabTech Software noted that over 4,800 IT service providers worldwide currently use LabTech, and the company continues to explore ways to bolster its RMM platform.

For example, Eric Pitcher, LabTech Software’s executive vice president of product development, told MSPmentor last month that his company plans to use Agile software development.

He also pointed out that LabTech version 11, which is expected to be available in Q1 2016, will be the first release that fully leverages the Agile development methodology.
