LabTech Software has integrated its remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform with Veeam Software, which offers backup and disaster recovery (BDR) and virtualization management solutions for VMware (VMW) vSphere and Microsoft (MSFT) Hyper-V virtual environments.

As part of this integration, the Veeam Backup & Replication solution is now available to managed service providers (MSPs) through LabTech Software.

The Veeam integration enables LabTech Software partners to protect customer environments, according to LabTech Software CEO Matt Nachtrab, and allows these partners “to focus more time on delivering exceptional services to their customers.”

In addition, LabTech Software noted that the Veeam integration delivers:

  • Automatic testing of vSphere and Hyper-V backups and replicas

  • Off-site data protection

  • Restore capabilities for entire virtual machines (VMs), individual files and application items

  • Single-pane-of-glass view of Veeam activity from inside the LabTech Software control center

  • The ability to create an On-Demand Sandbox without provisioning additional resources and run applications from Veeam backups or replicas to test or troubleshoot apps without affecting production workloads

“More and more managed service providers are embracing [the ability to] virtualize data centers to decrease costs and scale their businesses,” John Timko, LabTech Software’s marketing director, told MSPmentor. “Veeam gives us and our partners the ability to create an integrated end-to-end solution that protects our partners’ investments in customer satisfaction, future growth, competitiveness and profitability brought on by modern data centers.”

LabTech Software previously integrated its RMM platform with five BDR solutions:

  • Arcserve

  • BackupAgent

  • StorageCraft

  • Symantec

  • VaultLogix

Timko said LabTech Software “will continue to listen to [its] partners and have their input to help drive [its] strategy.” He also pointed out that his company is looking to integrate with other BDR solutions “to further round out [its] new offerings.”

LabTech is the second vendor company that recently announced a Veeam integration. Cloud file sync and share and business continuity provider eFolder also recently announced an integration with Veeam to enable partners to back up their virtualized environments to the eFolder cloud.
