Kaseya has added two enterprise technology veterans to its executive leadership team.

The Waltham, Massachusetts-based remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform provider has named former IBM (IBM) executive Brian Serino as its executive vice president of sales and ex-Salesforce.com (CRM) leader Mike Puglia as its chief information officer.

Serino most recently served as senior vice president of sales and business development at marketing data management services provider NetProspex. He also has held positions at marketing technology provider Neolane, which was acquired by Adobe (ADBE) in July 2013, and IBM marketing solutions company Unica.

Puglia boasts more than two decades of enterprise technology experience. He most recently served as Kaseya’s vice president of technology programs and has held leadership positions at online appointment scheduling software provider TimeTrade Systems, Salesforce.com, cloud-based application security services specialist Veracode and wireless solutions company Bluesocket.

Kaseya CEO Yogesh Gupta noted that both Serino and Puglia are expected to help his company bolster its cloud software business.

“Brian and Mike bring a tremendous wealth of experience in enabling and driving the success of cloud software businesses,” Gupta said in a prepared statement. “We couldn’t have found two more talented and successful team members to help us take our business and our customer relationships to the next level.”

Gupta recently told MSPmentor that he’s seeing more interest in Kaseya’s cloud solutions, particularly from on-premise customers.

In addition, Kaseya reported that nearly 70 percent of its new customers purchased its cloud offering last year, and new cloud subscriptions grew by almost 40 percent from 2013 to 2014.

So what should managed service providers (MSPs) expect from Kaseya’s cloud services going forward? Some of the presentations at next week’s Kaseya Connect conference in Orlando, Florida should provide insight into the RMM platform provider’s cloud plans.

Kaseya Chief Technology Officer Prakash Khot, for example, will discuss the anatomy and impact of today’s new cloud technologies at Kaseya Connect 2015. Khot also will describe how the Kaseya Virtual System Administrator (VSA) platform can help customers “access levels of scalability, security and performance that they would not have the means to build on their own.”
