GFI Max Partner Community Director Dave Sobel says partners have been asking for more integrations.

Managed services providers (MSPs) partnered with both GFI Max and Datto can now take advantage of a new opportunity that enables them to monitor Datto devices through the GFI Max Dashboard.

“If you’re a Max partner and a Datto partner, you’ll be able to install our agents under the Datto appliances and get hardware health information,” GFI Max Partner Community Director Dave Sobel told MSPmentor in an exclusive interview.

Sobel, who was hired by GFI Software (the parent company of GFI Max) in December to educate and assist MSPs in their community, made the announcement on Thursday at Datto’s second annual partner conference in Las Vegas.

Partners of both companies can immediately benefit from this new offering by contacting their Datto representative. Supported devices will then automatically pop-up on the GFI dashboard.

In the next few weeks, GFI Max will also be rolling options to monitor both software and backup status, Sobel said.

“Partners have been asking us for more and more integrations,” Sobel said. In response, he reached out to channel partners through a guest post on MSPmentor called “An Open Letter and Call to Arms for Integration.”

“We’re really focusing on allowing more technologies to get integrated in the platform,” he added.

As far as future integrations, Sobel said his team is working with vendors in several market spaces at the moment. He could not disclose any names.

Sobel said GFI Max now has a customer base of more than 10,000 MSPs in more than 100 countries, up 2,000 customers from September 2013.

On a separate note, GFI Max Business Unit General Managed Alistair Forbes recently spoke with MSPmentor on the addition of Web Protection to the company’s Remote Management platform.
