Continuum this week launched Sync247, a solution designed to make the management of small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers’ file sync and share applications “effortless and profitable” for managed service providers (MSPs).

The Boston-based remote monitoring and management (RMM) software provider said Sync247, which was originally unveiled at September’s Navigate conference, provides Continuum’s MSP partners with end user simplicity, pay-as-you-grow pricing and white-label customization.

“Today, the solutions in the marketplace don’t provide the unique combination of enterprise- [or] business-grade security, end user simplicity and pricing and packaging to help MSPs make healthy margins. We set out to offer our partners this unique combination so that they could easily manage [file sync and share apps] using the same single pane of glass they already use to manage RMM,” Doug O’Flaherty, Continuum’s cloud product director, told MSPmentor.

Sync247 requires little to no user training and enables users to share files instantly and sync them automatically, according to Continuum.

The solution also offers Continuum partners a single view that they can use to manage all of their customers’ file sync and share apps simultaneously.

“Employees are increasingly using personal mobile devices and consumer-grade collaboration applications for accessing work files and unintentionally introducing risk into the workplace,” O’Flaherty said in a prepared statement. “As their clients’ trusted advisor, our MSPs can help their clients transition to the cloud easily and securely with Sync247, while also expanding their services.”

Sync247 includes data security features

Continuum said Sync247 enables its partners to help customers bolster their IT security, and service providers can offer:

  • 256-bit AES data encryption

  • Active Directory integration with single sign-on (SSO)

  • Data privacy support

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance

“Sync247 is yet another offering you can sell customers as part of your managed IT services support, giving you another recurring revenue opportunity,” O’Flaherty wrote in a blog post. “Your clients will be able to securely access, share and lock files instantly on any device. Additionally, your Business Associate Agreement with Continuum keeps you HIPAA-compliant when managing healthcare clients.”
