ConnectWise has unveiled ConnectWise 2015.3, a new version of its professional services automation (PSA) platform that features a “brain-friendly” user interface (UI).

April Taylor, ConnectWise’s senior product manager, said that ConnectWise 2015.3 simplifies navigation for managed service provider (MSP) partners. The platform now works the way partners work, Taylor said, to help partners streamline their business operations.

“There are fewer clicks to find information, better navigation, drag-and-drop functionality and a clean design [with the new UI],” Taylor told MSPmentor. “Mobility is also key. Our partners want to use ConnectWise on their tablets and phones, which is why we are bringing more features to the browser.”

So what does ConnectWise 2015.3 offer ConnectWise partners? Taylor outlined the platform’s new features in a blog post:

  1. Access “Projects” from a browser – Users can complete updates and mass actions from a work plan, estimate project revenue and cost, add custom fields, import templates and projects and add an entire team to a project.

  2. Access to “My Calendar” and “Dispatch Portal” in the new UI – Users can access the “My Calendar” and “Dispatch Portal” areas within the new UI, along with new context menus, contact information flyouts, color schemes and more.

  3. Actionable reporting – ConnectWise 2015.3’s Service Resolution Dashboard enables users to analyze the rate of resolved to opened tickets.

  4. New service survey options – Users can set up service surveys that allow for a free-form text response and can include up to 10 choices for a response.

  5. Mobile barcode scanning – Service technicians can search and update configurations based on scanned serial numbers rather than manually typing in a number.

Taylor noted that she expects ConnectWise 2015.3 to be available by the end of the month.
