Technology giant CA Technologies (CA) today launched a new Software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based IT service management (ITSM) solution.

CA Cloud Service Management is a “mobile-ready, SaaS-based ITSM solution that delivers simplicity and speed across the enterprise.”

The solution’s features include the following:

  • Action-driven workflows

  • Asset management and discovery capabilities

  • Click-and-go automation

  • Configuration-based setup

  • Self-service dashboards and reporting

“The explosion of applications and devices deployed in the enterprise has made service delivery a cornerstone of employee and business productivity. CA has designed a solution that unlocks the full potential of SaaS by focusing on what matters to customers – employee satisfaction, speed of deployment and reduced cost of ownership,” Lokesh Jindal, CA’s general manager of IT business management, said in a prepared statement.

CA Cloud Service Management is “a true SaaS solution” and enables customers to take advantage of new capabilities as soon as they become available, according to the company.

“Solutions like CA Cloud Service Management can deliver on the promise of SaaS ITSM by focusing on efficiently meeting the core needs of user personas rather than a sophisticated technical platform that’s difficult to maintain and upgrade,” said Robert Young, International Data Corp‘s (IDC’s) research manager for its enterprise system management software division, in a statement.
