Cloud backup software developer BackupAgent has forged a partnership with Autotask and announced the deal today at Autotask Community Live Europe in Barcelona.

According to both companies, the integration deal enables both Autotask and BackupAgent partners to automate billing and optimize the incident management process.

Specifically, the integration includes an Autotask LiveLink for single-sign on to the BackupAgent reseller platform, the automated creation of Autotask service desk tickets with detailed logging when a backup is unsuccessful and automated billing.

BackupAgent CTO Robbert van Geldrop said in a prepared statement that the company has made it a priority to keep MSP partners updated with the latest management environments.

“We have had a tremendous amount of requests for an Autotask integration module and are delighted we can now satisfy these requests,” he said.

“Our goal is to provide BackupAgent partners with the tools they need to help them focus on building and growing their managed network services business and providing superior service to their clients,” said Autotask Community and Business Development SVP Len DiCostanzo in a prepared statement.

Other key vendors at the event, including AVG (which recently acquired Level Platforms and has rebranded the Managed Workplace technology), Backup Agent, CentraStage, Continuum, Datto, GFI Max, IBM, Intronis, LogMeIn and N-able (now owned by SolarWinds), may have their own updates. Stay tuned.
