Amicus ITS: Building Global Managed Services Network?
Amicus ITS, a European-based managed services provider, is building a partner network across Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The Southampton-based company expects the international network to generate £10 million in first year revenues. Here’s a closer look at the strategy, which includes a close working relationship with N-able.
Admittedly, Amicus ITS announced the international strategy a few months ago. But details hit MSPmentor’s inbox earlier today. According to a prepared statement:
“The partner programme allows other IT resellers to sell and market Amicus ITS managed service packages directly or under their own brand. The packages are designed around the 24x7x365 service which it has been providing to household names such as the NHS, Volvo Cars UK, government body the Foods Standards Agency and a host of small to medium size enterprises.”
Amicus ITS isn’t a new kid on the block. The company’s roots stretch back to 1988. Current partner program members include:
- IT Easy, a Sydney-based MSP serving Australia and New Zealand. IT Easy expects to generate first year revenue in the region of roughly £2 million.
- Roughly 11 partners that have joined the Amicus ITS UK Alliance Partner Programme. As a whole, the partners expect to generate roughly £6million in first-year managed services revenue.
Admittedly, I don’t know how those partners are performing so far vs. those revenue goals.
What services do the MSPs within the Amicus ITS partner network promote? The Amicus ITS offerings include 24×7 managed services, service desk, NOC, virtualization and infrastructure reviews. The relationship with N-able provides some clues about where Amicus ITS and its partners could be heading next. N-able specializes in remote monitoring and systems management software. Also, N-able has expanded its focus to include freemium endpoint security and disk-to-disk remote backup efforts. I think it’s safe to expect the Amicus ITS partner network to leverage those expanded services.
I’ll know for sure once I have a chance to catch up with some of the Amicus ITS partner network members during the N-able Partner Summit (Oct. 20-22, Scottsdale, Ariz.).
