Yahoo! Loses Board Member Icahn
Carl Icahn will be doing his activist investor schtick somewhere else.
He has resigned from the Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) board, heftily praising the Internet search engine’s new leadership and pending plans for a search deal with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).
Icahn last year tried to hijack Yahoo!’s board into selling to Microsoft, an attempted coup that failed miserably. Now he says he doesn’t have time to serve on Yahoo!’s board, and say he’s leaving the company in capable hands.
