Master Agency TBI has hired Rodney Sizemore, a 25-year telecommunications industry veteran, as channel program manager, a newly created position aimed at helping VARs as they transition to sell cloud services and look to shift to a recurring revenue stream.
Key highlights of Sizemore’s career include co-founding the first and largest commercial ISP in the Ohio valley region, growing the business to more than 100 employees and more than $10 million in annual recurring revenue. Overall, he has founded, grown and sold three cloud communications companies and one telecom VAR.
“Every aspect of the channel is undergoing significant changes,” he said. “By leveraging my experience, I’ll serve as an adviser to VARs as their business models transform. TBI is an established industry leader in this space; I’m confident we’ll energize the VAR community while providing tools needed to ensure future success in the channel.”
TBI said hiring Sizemore is one of many new efforts to ensure the channel community continues to adopt services previously unavailable to the channel. TBI helps partners build a cloud practice, offering customers high-speed broadband, intelligent routing and automatic failover.
“Convergence is driving the VAR industry to change, making it crucial for them to complement their legacy business with a cloud-based recurring revenue model,” said Mike Onystok, TBI’s vice president. “We’re excited to have Rodney on board to support this change; his firsthand experience and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to our partners as they continue to adopt network connectivity and cloud solutions into their portfolios.”
