Tango Taps Former Verizon Exec for SVP Role

Enterprise mobility solutions company Tango Networks has named Jim O’Brey senior vice president of sales for the Americas. He will lead business development for the company’s portfolio of mobility solutions.
O’Brey, who has worked in telecommunications for more than 25 years, comes to Tango from Verizon Enterprise Solutions, where he led a national sales force. Before that, he managed a global wireless and wireline sales organization in the Verizon-Vodafone Enterprise Services division.
O’Brey also has experience at Nextel Partners, AT&T and AirTouch Communications.
“With his experience, Jim O’Brey truly understands what both service providers and enterprises need when it comes to mobility,” said Doug Bartek, president and CEO of Tango Networks. “We have the solutions to fill those needs, and by leveraging Jim’s sales and business development experience, we can now reach out more effectively to service providers, channel partners, customers and potential customers.”
Frisco, Texas-based Tango works with disributors, channels and integrators to promote and sell its mobility services. The company promises marketing assistance to its partners, as well as access to its technical and marketing materials; and support.
