PlanetOne's Bern RichardsonMaster agency PlanetOne Communications, which bills itself an IT and telecom preferred connectivity provider, on Monday announced the hiring of Bernadette “Bern” Richardson as vice president of marketing.

Richardson is tasked with spearheading the firm’s internal and external marketing, which includes managing its creative agency, public relations firm and social media team. She is also responsible for the execution of PlanetOne’s digital marketing, partner marketing and content creation, and will play an active role in event planning and promotion.

“When it comes time to maximize your marketing, Bern is who you want leading your team,” said Ted Schuman, founder and CEO, PlanetOne. “Her experience, energy, creativity and relentless focus on execution is a perfect match for the PlanetOne culture, and as a prior member of our advisory board she knows the business, understands the market we play in and appreciates the value we place on keeping our channel partners happy and profitable.”{ad}

Richardson has more than 25 years of experience in business management, including 10 years within the telecommunications industry as an entrepreneur. Her diverse background includes a stint in business development with Coca-Cola.

“We are tremendously excited to have Bern join our leadership team and turn up the volume on our partner successes, the differentiating value of PlanetOne and the growth opportunities all around us,” said Lauren Shapiro, president, PlanetOne. “We continue to experience record growth with our partners in the telecom space and are breaking new ground in cloud services, welcoming more and more MSPs into the mix and finding more ways to build repeatable success for everyone in the PlanetOne family.”
