MicroCorp Hires Another TWC Alum
A seasoned cable sales professional just joined the MicroCorp team.
Former Time Warner Cable employee Andy Pipkin will serve as the master agent’s strategic partner manager for the Southwest. Texas is also part of Pipkin’s new wheelhouse.
The company announced the appointment Thursday and touted Pipkin’s knowledge of the Southwest’s “rapidly growing channel universe.”

“The Texas region is ripe with opportunities for partners to make their mark in meeting their end-user customers’ rapidly evolving digital-transformation needs,” said Phil Keenan, MicroCorp president. “Andy’s intimate knowledge of this space and the Southwest market further solidifies our commitment to providing the ultimate partner experience via people, ultimate training and on-line tools.”
Pipkin is based in San Antonio.
He most recently served as senior regional channel manager for Altice USA. He spent a lengthier term at Time Warner Cable, including a three-year stint as director of partner channel sales.
David Burgeson, MicroCorp’s Southwest strategic partner manager from 2016-2018, departed last May and now works for an IT consultancy and services provider. Burgeson was Pipkin’s co-worker at Time Warner Cable for several years. Both left the company in late 2014.
MicroCorp also has hired a sales engineer for its new cloud unit and a partner enablement director in the last six months. It also offered up a list of new vendor partners last fall. The company has been making advancements in its cloud and SD-WAN portfolios. MicroCorp acquired Open Spectrum last to create the aforementioned cloud unit and rolled out an SD-WAN sales guide in December.
