MeiLee Langley, the channel veteran who has worked at organizations such as LiveVox, 8×8 and RingCentral, has been named VP of global marketing at Xcitium. The company’s enterprise platform provides endpoint detection and response built on zero-trust architecture.

Langley said the move from LiveVox, which offers a next-generation contact center platform, is somewhat out of her comfort zone. Xcitium is a cybersecurity firm. However, her time at LiveVox, she said, was “invaluable” and that she plans to apply what she learned there to a new industry.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in March.

“I’m leaving the UC/CC space, my home for the past 10 years, to jump into this new world of cybersecurity. I kept hearing cybersecurity companies tout zero trust. It is a term almost all of them use. However, Xcitium was the only company promoting zero dwell, and more importantly, zero dwell containment,” she said.

It is a solution that assures zero dwell time for cyberattacks by isolating all unknown or suspect code entering an organization until it can be verified as trustworthy. As Xcitium officials put it, unlike rival solutions, all unknown objects are “guilty until proven innocent.”

MeiLee Langley Will Apply Her ‘Spin’

Xcitium’s focus on building and scaling a global channel team and partner program began a year ago. The company started with an emphasis on supporting MSPs, MSSPs and VARs through resell and co-sell models. The company has since expanded the program to support technology solutions brokerages and agents through a “lucrative” residual model in 2023, Langley said. Xcitium’s partners – whether they are MSPs, MSSPs, VARs, SIs or agents – can adopt whichever sales model works best for their business.

Langley added that she plans to create a menu of easy-to-deploy, demand-gen tools for the company’s top partners can take advantage of, alongside demand-gen training.

Frost & Sullivan named Xcitium as the 2022 Competitive Strategy Leader of the Endpoint Security industry. The company was selected product of the year 2022 by AV Labs, an independent malware test lab based in Europe.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me because I have spent the last decade focused on indirect/channel marketing,” Langley said. “This role will allow me to expand my scope to manage the global marketing organization, both indirect and direct… the Xcitium team has already created a strong foundation for their partner program, but there is still plenty of opportunity for me to apply my spin and expertise to move the program to the next level.”
