Lume Names New CEO
PRESS RELEASE — Lume, a global provider of cloud and data center services, announced today the appointment of Kyle Verzello as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Verzello replaces Brooks Snow, who will continue to serve as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer.
Verzello joins Lume from Overstock.com where he was the Director of Technology Infrastructure. While at Overstock, he was responsible for the strategy and operation of the publicly traded e-commerce company’s IT infrastructure including data centers, network interconnectivity, servers, and storage systems.
“There is no better person to lead Lume than Kyle,” said Brooks Snow. “He possesses a great mix of leadership, business operations and enterprise infrastructure experience. He has a clear vision for how technology and cloud infrastructure can be deployed and utilized to help businesses. Kyle is exactly what Lume needs as we enter our next chapter,” added Snow.
This change in leadership is evidence of the company’s growth and maturity. “It’s always important to have the right people doing the right things at the right time,” said Snow. “Lume is no longer a startup. This represents us making the right changes and putting the right people in the right places to handle all of our recent growth and to propel us to the next level.”
“This is a very exciting time for Lume and I am extremely honored to have been chosen to lead the company,” said Verzello who has been in a role of Advisor since the company’s inception. “Lume has experienced nearly 100% year over year growth since inception and we are on pace to surpass that for next year. I believe our ability to offer flexible cloud solutions coupled with a diverse, global network of data centers will continue to help us meet the demands of today’s market. Enterprises are demanding more from their providers. They’re requiring solutions tailored to their specific needs. They need a partner like Lume.”
Verzello stated that the company has recently begun growing their data center footprint in target markets, intensifying their channel partner program and offering additional solutions all to execute elements of the company’s growth strategy. “2016 is going to be a monster year for us. We are extremely well positioned to grow and serve the market while continuing to provide the best service and solutions to our existing clients,” added Verzello.
Verzello holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a member of the Utah Data Center Consortium (UDCC).
