XO Communications (XOHO) has snagged a key Global Crossing Ltd. (GLBC) exec as its new president of business services.

Daniel Wagner takes his new post immediately, XO said on Thursday.

“Dan knows how to attract and retain customers in a highly competitive industry,” said Carl Grivner, CEO of XO Communications. “We are thrilled to have such a hard-charging, experienced professional joining our executive management team.”

Wagner spent a combined 14 years at Global Crossing and Frontier Communications. He most recently served as Global Crossing’s executive vice president of enterprise and collaboration services.

XO’s Business Services group specializes in services including VoIP and SIP trunking.
