Fusion Hires Ex-CenturyLink Channel Exec to Lead National Partners
Fusion Connect has hired Armando Martinez, previously with CenturyLink, as senior director of national partners, charged with overseeing the relationship management, business planning and overarching growth strategies for the company’s key master agents.
Martinez has more than 18 years of professional experience and has served in various roles including finance, sales operations, business development and sales at Nextel, Sprint and CenturyLink.
He was promoted four times at CenturyLink, serving as managing director and chief of staff to the CenturyLink partner program’s channel chief. In these roles, he was responsible for fostering and growing relationships with the company’s most elite master agents.
Additionally, Martinez has more than 12 years of experience working with multiple sales channels, including both direct and indirect.

“We are delighted to have Armando join Fusion as a key contributor in the success of our partner program,” said Michael Fair, Fusion’s senior vice president of channel and business alliances. “Armando’s emphasis on strategy, business planning, relationship management and programmatic execution garners his amazing reputation in the partner community.”
Last year, Fusion acquired Birch Communications‘ cloud and business-services business, including its customers, operations and infrastructure, in a transaction valued at $600 million. It also acquired MegaPath for $71.5 million, gaining its SD-WAN, UC and security offerings.
