The Alliance of Channel Women (ACW) advocacy group is expanding its board of directors.

The not-for-profit organization said goodbye to two directors but hired four new ones to fill the gap, and in doing so added two more seats to the board.

MasterStream ERP‘s Carrie Ferrero, Office Depot‘s Cassandra Jeppson, CenturyLink‘s Lisa Miller and Powernet‘s Penny Thurnau are joining the team.

Stacy Conrad, ACW president, attributed the increase in directors to the organization’s growth. The group formerly known as Women in the Channel rebranded last year and continues to provide female tech professionals with mentorship, online networking and biannual events at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo and Channel Partners Evolution.

“ACW’s growth in membership and programs has gained momentum in the last few years — so much so that we’ve expanded our board of directors from seven to nine to keep pace,” said Conrad, who doubles as director of southeastern channel sales for TPx. “We’re delighted to announce that our newly expanded board includes four new directors, who are proven channel leaders that can help us deliver on our ambitious plans for 2019.”

In the meantime, ACW announced the departure of CNSG’s Shaquille Fontenot and OnSIP’s Helene Kidary from their board positions. Fontenot played leading roles in multiple committees, most notably chairing the communications group. Kidary was most recently the Alliance’s secretary, and Cassandra Jeppson will replace her in that role.

“We thank Helene and Shaquille for their tireless service on the ACW board and committees,” Conrad said. “They are staunch advocates for channel women and have driven material improvements to our member programs. Their impact on our organization has been and continues to be extraordinary.”

Cassandra Jeppson directs Office Depot’s operations and enablement for business services. Penny Thurnau is the vice president of strategic alliances for Powernet.

Ferrero is a solutions architect for MasterStream and has been serving as the chair of ACW’s education committee since 2017.

Lisa Miller, who serves as CenturyLink’s president of wholesale, indirect and alliances, recently won the nonprofit’s LEAD Award.

The four new appointees join Conrad, Rebecca Rosen, Raquel Wiley, Amy Bailey and Michelle Kadlacek on the board. Wiley, who is senior channel marketing manager at TPx, is now the Alliance’s treasurer.
