Paul Bay is replacing Keith Bradley as head of Ingram Micro North America.

 The value-added distributor said last week that Bay immediately has been promoted from executive vice president to acting president of Ingram Micro North America. He reports to Alain Monié, president and CEO of Ingram Micro Inc.

Bay replaces Bradley, who will step down as president of Ingram Micro North America at the end of this year. Bradley will stay with Ingram Micro until March 1 to oversee the transition; Ingram Micro did not say why he is leaving.  

“We thank Keith for his significant contributions to Ingram Micro’s North American operations,” Monié said in a prepared statement. “Under his leadership, the team streamlined regional operations, strengthened the performance of the region and drove strategic investments that have resulted in increased profitability through a greater mix of sales of higher-margin products and services.”

Monié went on to say that Bay knows the North America region “extremely well and brings to his new role an ideal mix of experience in managing both large, complex operations as well as entrepreneurial start-ups.”

Bay joined Ingram Micro in 1995 as part of its U.S. sales organization. He moved up through the ranks then left the company in 2006 to serve as CEO of a software company; he then returned to Ingram Micro in June 2010 as executive vice president.
