Marketing Leader Amy Bailey Leaving Telarus, Eyeing New Opportunity

Telarus senior vice president of marketing Amy Bailey is moving on from the technology solutions brokerage.

Bailey, a seven-year member of the Telarus family, announced on LinkedIn that she will leave the company on Aug. 19.

“I am so grateful for all I have learned over the last six years,” Bailey wrote. “I appreciate all those who have contributed to my success.”

Bailey said she can’t yet reveal her next opportunity.

“I am very excited about my next adventure, and while I am not at liberty to give details at this time, stay tuned for the next exciting chapter!” she wrote.

Bailey came to Telarus from VXSuite, which the TSB acquired in 2015. Bailey had been working as VXSuite VXTracker’s vice president of marketing. She earned the promotion to senior vice president of marketing for Telarus in 2020. She said Telarus was employing around 50 people when it acquired VXSuite, and four total marketing people. Since then, Bailey’s marketing team has grown to 23 people.

“It has been an incredible experience, to grow from less than 50 people to almost 400 people now,” Bailey told Channel Futures.

Prior to VXSuite, Bailey had worked at her father’s firm Connections Call Accounting, which sold call accounting software. The deal put Bailey in contact with resellers that sold products like Avaya and ShoreTel, as well as XSuite VXTracker, whose product Connections sold.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in July.

Bailey joined the Alliance of Channel Women as a co-chair in 2016 and went on to serve as president of the group in 2020 and 2021. She made the inaugural Channel Futures DE&I 101 list and serves on the board for the Xposure Inclusion & Diversity Council.

“Thank you for the amazing relationships that I have been able to establish and build with you. For those of you who have supported me – thank you! For those of you who have befriended me – I love you and appreciate you,” she said.

Telarus chief operating officer Richard Murray praised Bailey’s efforts working at the TSB.

“Amy accomplished incredible things during her time at Telarus and guided us through a tremendous period of growth. Following the completion of our biggest and best Partner Summit yet, and with a great team in place that she helped to build, now is a great time for her to take on the next challenge in her career. Amy is a friend to many, and I’m very excited for this next step for her,” Murray said.

Telarus Marketing

Telarus in May hired Jennifer Pockell Dimas as chief marketing and experience officer. She stated a goal of amplifying the Telarus brand in addition to helping evolve its go-to-market model. Bailey was reporting to Pockell Dimas.

Bailey said Telarus tasked Pockell Dimas with driving more branding, digital marketing and productization. Specifically she was driving branding around particular departments and products within Telarus. For example, the company drove branding around its CommissionVue software.

On the other hand, Pockell Dimas’ appointment gave Bailey a closer focus on events and face-to-face marketing activities Telarus had traditionally conducted, Bailey said.

Telarus is operating with funding from Columbia Capital. The TSB announced the investment in late 2020 and has gone on to acquire multiple companies, including Chorus Communications, Comtel Communications and most recently TCG.

“What I’ve learned from the acquisition piece has been incredible,” Bailey said. “To watch how to bring brands together has been a great learning experience and something I think I can help people navigate.”

The company has also hired a number of well-known figures from across the industry. That includes Julie Dzubay and Tim Basa, formerly of AppSmart.
