Software Sales: Proceed With Caution?
The VAR Guy isn’t panicking. But Goldman Sachs is warning investors that software sector sales could be softer than expected in 2008. The VAR Guy, you’ll recall, is wondering if open source software companies are immune to an economic slowdown — or at least better positioned than their closed-source rivals.
Matt, You appear to have a better vision of what’s going on in the open source “revolution” than Goldman Sachs. I seriously question the agenda of some of these so called experts on Wall Street. They seem to miss the fact the big boys act more like bullies while seemly to fear to compete on a product value and price. Red Hat has said it well, “truth happens.”
