Canonical Investigates Abusive Ubuntu Posts
Some Ubuntu community email lists allegedly contain abusive and intimidating content, WorksWithU reported on June 10. Some readers dismissed our coverage as overreacting. But apparently, Canonical is taking the situation seriously and is now investigating the issue.
According to a follow-up report published June 17, 2009 on The Register:
Canonical is investigating what has been reported as “abuse” and “intimidation” of unnamed members of the Ubuntu community email lists. The investigation will produce a set of guidelines that will help decide when to escalate future posts of a similar nature for action to Ubuntu’s overall governing board, the community council.
We’re sorry to hear about the alleged abuse and intimidation. But we’re pleased to see Canonical taking a closer look at the situation.

Abuse and intimidation are par for the course in the open source world. I’m glad to see that Ubuntu’s willing to do something to take a stand against it.
Me too! Thanks Canonical!
One is always welcome to pay for commercial support, which is of excellent quality… simple as that.
@Vadim. True, but one may want to contribute in the lists, not just ask for help. And even if someone posts asking for help, they deserve respect regardless.
@Vadim
what are you smoking? do you know the price for that commercial support? or are you simply a troll for the corporations?
