GlobalTouch Offers Private-Label Prepaid VoIP

VoIP provider GlobalTouch Telecom Inc. unveiled a hosted, prepaid VoIP platform, offering MSO, carrier, PTT, reseller and ISP customers a private-labeled turnkey application with built-in scalability. Features include call forwarding, three-way calling, caller ID, call waiting and instant voice mail to e-mail. There also is a real-time billing engine, Web-based customer care, self-provisioning and self-administration. Users also can make calls to and from anywhere in the world. Resellers can offer free Internet phone calls with the service.

Access Integrated Unveils T1 Products

Access Integrated Networks, a CLEC based in Georgia, has introduced Total-T, a family of T1 products for SMBs that is sold through channel partners. The package includes three options. The first is an integrated package that includes up to 24 voice lines, data burstable to 1.544mbps, free national long-distance minutes, Web hosting and e-mail.

There also is a 23-channel PRI-ISDN connection to a digital PBX. It provides a number of features such as channel allocation, direct inward dialing and free national long-distance minutes. Finally, there is a data-only 1.544mbps product that offers direct Internet access and that lets customers add up to six voice lines at no extra cost.

Cbeyond Debuts BeyondMobile Service

Managed services provider Cbeyond Inc. has introduced its BeyondMobile Laptop Access service for businesses, available for distribution through the companys channel partners. BeyondMobile gives users nationwide mobile broadband access. It comes with a Sierra Wireless AirCard 595 PC Card and takes advantage of a 3G EV-DO Rev. A mobile network, eliminating the need for Wi-Fi hotspots. The AirCard 595 enables high-speed connectivity, while minimizing battery power consumption. The service offers peak data transfer speeds of up to 3.1mbps on the downlink and up to 1.8mbps on the uplink.

SimpleSignal Unveils overflow Calling Feature

SimpleSignal Inc. has unveiled its On Demand overflow calling feature for inbound and outbound business communications, which adds space instantly when capacity is reached.

SimpleSignal On Demand works with any SIP-compatible IP PBX system or SIP device or with an add-on IAD for older systems. Additional equipment may be required depending on the system. The product places no capacity limitations on the number of incoming or outgoing calls, the company said.

Clearone Releases Chat150 for Cisco Phones

Conferencing products provider ClearOne Communications has released the Chat 150 for Cisco Systems Inc. enterprise telephones. The device provides users with a full-duplex speaker phone while allowing them still to access builtin handset functionality such as access to voice mail, call transfer and so on. Users initiate those functions and dial calls with the Cisco phones keypad, but the audio is delivered through the Chat 150. The Chat 150 for Cisco phones also contains a USB port for connectivity to PCs. That way, users can take advantage of VoIP applications such as softphones and Webbased video conferencing clients. The product has been tested with Cisco 7940, 7960 and 7970 phone models.

Telcordia Taps mPortal to Enhance MVNO Platform

Telcordia Technologies Inc. will use mPortal Inc.s SPRINGBOARD Content Delivery Manager (CDM) and SPRINGBOARD Content Catalog to enhance its hosted platform for MVNOs. Telcordia will offer MVNOs more than 25,000 ringtones, wallpapers, games and realtime news feeds. Telcordia MVNO customers also now can provide a handset client with SPRINGBOARD Smart Client. Telcordias hosted platform offers prepaid and postpaid wireless services without having to own or manage a network.

MyWebBrochure.com LLC is offering its Internet stationery through affiliates. The company provides simple Web pages that act as the online equivalent of paper brochures. Affiliates can choose from nearly 100 small icons/links to paste on their Web sites or WebBrochures. When a visitor to the affiliates site clicks the WebBrochure icon and buys a WebBrochure, WebBrochure.com tracks it and pays a quarterly commission through PayPal. The first five sales per year pays $10 per sale; six to 10 sales per year pays $15 per sale; and 11 or more sales per year pays $20 per sale.
