ServerCentral Expands Illinois Data Center
CHANNEL PARTNERS Chicago-based ServerCentral (Booth #635 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo) has announced the opening of its 2.6-megawatt, 20,000 square-foot data center expansion in Elk Grove Village, Ill. This is ServerCentrals fourth build-out within the Tier III facility since March 2009, bringing its footprint there to more than 40,000 square feet and 5.5 megawatts of critical load to support its infrastructure portfolio.

Key features of the expansion include an average power density of 275 watts per square foot, as well as an isolated and redundant electrical topology. The facilitys power, UPS, and HVAC systems are rated at a minimum of N+2, which means that for each system, there are two backups ensuring ongoing functionality. The expansion also supports ServerCentral’s ability to deliver its high-performance IPv4 and IPv6-native transit and metro Ethernet services over 10-gigabit Ethernet.
ServerCentral says the space will also support its expanding cloud portfolio, including its new High Performance Cloud (HPC) platform set for release in June.
In addition to showcasing its latest product developments at its Channel Partners Conference & Expo booth, ServerCentral will exhibiting at booth #321 alongside the Cloud Services Coalition.
