Zerto has appointed a new member to its leadership team. In addition, that company has expanded its go-to-market plans. Also, MSPAlliance is rolling out new compliance tools. Catch that and more in this week’s MSP Roundup.

MSPAlliance Intros Compliance-as-a-Service Platform

Managed services industry asssociation MSPAlliance has launched a new compliance-as-a-service platform: Cyber Verify. It was developed to streamline the previously complex audit process, making compliance an achievable goal for all MSPs.

Channel Futures has a new partnership with ITX, a Martinwolf company, that offers an M&A marketplace facilitating the sale of IT-enabled businesses. Learn about it here.

Celia Weaver is co-founder and president of MSPAlliance.

“Cyber Verify is the culmination of nearly 20 years of experience in the MSP certification business,” Weaver said. “The platform achieves two primary objectives of simplifying MSP compliance, while also enabling MSPs of all sizes to enter the lucrative and necessary compliance as a service business.”

One of the challenges MSPs face is lack of relevant experience in compliance. Most MSPs do not have compliance officers or departments tasked with MSP organizational compliance. Cyber Verify solves this problem, MSPAlliance said.

Cyber Verify acts as an extension of or as an MSP’s compliance department. The platform can help achieve crucial internal documentation of policies, procedures and other related documentation. It can also assist in the development of specific controls necessary to achieve compliance.

Vanta Launches Partner Program

Trust management platform Vanta has launched its managed service provider (MSP) partner program. It allows partners to “transform trust into a marketable advantage,” according to the company.

Vanta’s service provider ecosystem aims to strengthen customers’ security posture. This is done by partnering with prominent virtual CIOs, managed security service providers and advisory/consulting firms. Partners can offer an expansive breadth and depth of security offerings, increasing overall client satisfaction.

“With today’s new MSP partner program launch, Vanta now offers the fastest and simplest approach to continuous security monitoring and automated compliance for managed service providers,” Goldwater said. “By putting Vanta’s … platform as the cornerstone of their security managed service offering, partners can expand their clients’ security with trust management, while building their own competitive advantage.”

At the foundation of the MSP Partner program is Vanta’s trust management platform. It simplifies and centralizes security program management by providing full visibility into an organization’s risk, Vanta said. Vanta enriches those findings with contextual data and helps organizations remediate issues and track progress.

Zerto Hires Matt Boris as Vice President of Global Go-to-Market

Zerto, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, appointed Matt Boris as its new head of worldwide go-to-market. Boris previously led Zerto sales in the Americas and Asia. He will now be responsible for driving the company’s overall GTM strategy around the globe.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in February.

The appointment marks a significant investment by HPE in Zerto, the company said. Its goal is to double the size of the business in the next two years. Under Boris’ leadership, Zerto will focus on maximizing growth opportunities. They will expand into new markets and increase its presence in EMEA and APAC. This includes Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

As part of his broader role, Boris will also focus on unifying the company’s GTM strategy with managed service providers and channel partners. One of the key drivers of growth will be HPE GreenLake, its edge-to-cloud platform, where Zerto will play a critical role, the company said. Zerto is also expanding its reach into global systems integrators. The organization said it’s accomplishing that through strategic alliances with Deloitte, HCL Tech, TCS and Wipro.

Boris has worked in senior roles at Zerto for more than six years.
