Granite Telecommunications has unveiled its new Microsoft Teams integration and Merged Voice services for sale through its indirect sales partners.

Granite is rolling out support for Direct Routing to Microsoft Teams. Businesses can make and take external phone calls inside the Teams collaboration application on their desktops, laptops or mobile devices.

The Teams integration enables calls to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). It does so by connecting Granite’s SIP trunking service to the Microsoft phone system inside Teams.

Charlie Pagliazzo is Granite’s vice president of channels.

“Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams gives our partners another way to help their clients,” he said. “Microsoft Teams can be used as a phone system in the cloud. A Microsoft 365 user can add the Microsoft phone system feature to their existing license, or just enable it. Sharing this cost-saving and productivity-boosting solution with prospects and clients is another way for partners to demonstrate their value as a trusted adviser.”

Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams simplifies using Teams as a phone, Pagliazzo said.

“Our carrier-grade SBCs are registered with Microsoft and can deliver SIP directly to the Microsoft cloud,” he said. “Because of this, we can offer pooled concurrent calls for customers and great calling rates to help reduce overall costs. The Granite channels team is excited to work with our partners to enhance their value to end users and look forward to closing more deals with them.”

Granite Merged Voice

Granite Merged Voice is a complete communications suite that includes Granite’s TDM and hosted voice services. The company says the suite will help organizations now and as their needs change and grow. Services span legacy POTS and PRI, to emulated POTS, SIP trunking, direct routing, hosted PBX, UCaaS, CCaaS and more.

Here’s our most recent list of new products and services that agents, VARs, MSPs and other partners offer.

“Our valued partners have looked to Granite as the efficient one-stop shop for their clients’ TDM services across the United States and Canada,” Pagliazzo said. “Granite Merged Voice represents the evolution of Granite to be our partners’ go-to provider for a full range of voice services. Plus, we deliver easily accessed solutions, simplified pricing and readily available resources to design and implement those solutions.”

For partners looking to pursue larger enterprise prospects, Merged Voice presents an opportunity to address both legacy services and the digital solutions many end users need to grow, compete and be successful going forward, he said.

Granite Merged Voice will allow them to address customer needs, using the pricing for these services to make their own budgetary estimates prior to delivering the full presentation of service benefits and cost impact,” Pagliazzo said. “This allows partners to recognize the potential cost impact quickly in preparation for presenting the total value to the client.”
