Former Broadvox CEO Forms Cloud Solutions Provider
Broadvox’s former CEO has moved onto the “next generation” of opportunity with the announcement of his new cloud solutions provider.
Andre Temnorod will lead CloudRoute, a Cleveland, Ohio-based company, which seeks to capitalize on the trend of cloud migration.
“We want to help companies — we want to help small businesses — facilitate that transition,” Temnorod said.
David Byrd, the company’s chief operating officer and chief marketing officer, said its goal is to remove complexities from IT decision-making and management, and get partners beyond single digit commissions
“At CloudRoute, we want to show them how they can make money selling the cloud, teach them the kinds of applications and services that the market is demanding and basically demonstrate to them that there is possibility of high-margin services in the cloud,” he said.
CloudRoute is joining the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program, through which it will own the customer life cycle of products like Office 365. Byrd said Microsoft is earning positive attention in the channel, with Office 365 “clearly dominating the market.”
“They have identified that they are not the right guys to manage the tens of thousands of potential channel partners,” he said. “And so, they are very interested in a company like CloudRoute assisting them and growing those channel partners into a level of maturity where they can deliver the products on a regular, consistent basis.”
Byrd and Temnorod also said their partners wouldn’t be limited to Microsoft-only and would have access to technology such as desktops-as-a-service (DaaS) and virtual platform-as-a-service.
Temnorod is founding CloudRoute after spending 15 years at the VoIP provider Broadvox, which has been acquired by Onvoy in recent months. He said it’s not so much a matter of leaving Broadvox as it is a matter of moving on to the next opportunity.
“We rode that wave for about 15 years, and now we feel that there is a similar type of opportunity through the cloud transition,” he said.
