Multicloud data management provider Veritas Technologies has substantially updated its Veritas Partner Force program. The revised program, which launched to channel partners last month, helps accelerate their transition to the cloud. This includes enhanced rewards for cloud-based deals and a simplified transaction process. New training and accreditation programs are also part of the mix.

Veritas’ Mike Walkey

Mike Walkey, senior vice president of global channel sales at Veritas, said the channel is under pressure from all directions. Veritas seeks to make it easy for partners to do business with the company.

“This allows them to focus on what they do best — delivering exceptional service to their customers,” Walkey said. “That’s why we’re focused this year on simplifying our processes, rewards and pricing, all while delivering additional partner enablement packages and more flexible partner development funding.”

Veritas Technologies Focuses on Partner Strength

Veritas partners will now have a single comprehensive target to achieve across both new business and renewals, as well as software, services and appliances. This will make it easier for partners to focus on their strengths and meet their tiering requirements, the company said.

Following the launch of Veritas Alta, a comprehensive secure cloud data management platform, Veritas will assist and incentivize partners to take advantage of the growing cloud market. This includes new training and accreditation, as well as “supercharged” rewards.

Attracting new customers is key, and partners will work with Veritas on demand-generation activities. Partners will be able to earn accelerated rewards for engaging in the campaign and bringing new customers onboard.

In addition, Veritas will support and reward channel partners that help existing customers realize additional benefits from their Veritas engagement. The company will extend their use of the Veritas platform to new workloads and use cases.

Finally, Veritas will launch new services this year to improve the resources available to both the two-tier channel and managed service providers. The company said this will simplify engagement.
