Tech Data Launches TechSelect Loyalty Program

Tech Data (TECD) has launched its TechSelect Loyalty Program as a way to provide members of the TechSelect community with additional benefits for their sales and services.

The new program will allow partners to gain loyalty credits based on their tier, with rewards including TDEducation training and travel credits for Tech Select events, according to the announcement.  Partners can achieve loyalty status of Platinum, Gold and Silver through the program.

Points earned will be based on year-over-year growth with Tech Data, the amount of revenue invested in sponsoring TechSelect vendor partners, the number of TechSelect events attended and overall market share with Tech Data.

“Our new TechSelect Loyalty program is aligned with TechSelect’s goal of creating a level playing field for our members, regardless of the size of their business,” said Kaye McMillan, director of Sales Planning and TechSelect at Tech Data, in a statement. “We are proud to reward our members with educational and training opportunities based on their commitment to the TechSelect community. It’s truly a win-win for Tech Data and our TechSelect solution providers.”

So far, 70 out of 400 U.S. members of the TechSelect community have achieved Loyalty status, according to the announcement. Eligible members are expected to receive notification of their status within the coming weeks.

The TechSelect Advisory Council will lead the loyalty program, with Audrey Levi acting as council president. Tech Data appointed Levi as president of the TechSelect Advisory Council during last week’s TechSelect Partner Conference in New Orleans. Levi also is the first female president of a Tech Data community program, according to the announcement.

“I am excited about the opportunities ahead for the TechSelect community,” said Levi. “TechSelect represents the DNA of Tech Data and their commitment to building long-term partnerships in the channel. I look forward to bringing more diversity into the organization and growing the overall profile of the TechSelect membership, while continuing to embrace new vendor partners and cutting-edge technologies.”
