Siemens’ Built-in UC Offerings Designed for Quick Deployment
Fresh from Siemens Enterprise come two new products designed to hit the mid-enterprise market and give VARs and partners a better collaboration tool to sell. Read on for the details about the company’s new voice solutions and a new UC communication server …
If unified communication features were already built into a device, that would make convergence easier, wouldn’t it? Siemens thought so, which is why it did. Now, new IP-based voice and UC solutions are available with UC essential features embedded at the same price point as traditional voice-only solutions. Now users can have multi-party audio conferencing, UC messaging and other productivity tools in one integrated voice solution.
Available now are:
- OpenScape UC Server Enterprise, an integrated voice and UC software solution for the same licensing price as voice, aimed at larger enterprises
- OpenScape UC Server Xpress, a streamlined packaged voice, UC conferencing and entry-level contact center solution optimized for midmarket customers with 350 to 1,000 users, which is preconfigured and prestaged for ease of installation
- HiPath 4000 Evolution, which includes new software and data center deployment options for migration to converged IP telephony, as well as an upcoming “IT-ready” rack mountable hardware chassis known as HiPath Access for running gateways and modules.
OpenScape UC Server Xpress for Midsize Enterprises is being offered exclusively through the channel, and is supported by a new Web-based community portal that gives partners a place to discuss best practices for customer deployments and provides access to service and documentation, troubleshooting guides, a hot-line for urgent priority requests and a searchable knowledge base, according to the company.
Siemens sees the solution as the perfect solution for midsized enterprises since it comes preconfugred with OpenScape Unified Messaging, OpenScape Conferencing, OpenScape Contact Center and a fully featured OpenScape Voice solution. Turing around a deployment as quick as possible is a real focus for Siemens, especially when the solution being deployed is mission-critical communication. Partners can find out more at Siemens Enterprise Portal.
