Shiftboard Launches Scheduling Partner Program

logo.gifShiftboard is a software developer that specializes in smarter SaaS workforce scheduling — and they’ve launched a channel partner program designed to help VARs bring the company’s solution to new markets. Just don’t call it “calendaring.” Here’s the scoop.

According to Shiftboard Founder and Chief Product Officer Bryan Lhuillier, their solution differs from mere “calendaring” due to the “bottoms-up” approach — rather than have a manager put employees on the schedule, those employees can list their own availabilities, working hours, days off, even certifications, and have it entered into a database, saving everybody time and stress.

Lhuillier says they started in the healthcare and event planning verticals, but they’ve expanded their focus to any enterprise where it’s important to make sure the right person winds up in the right place. The Shiftboard solution can be accessed on the web and from the smartphone, meaning users can clock in and out And now they’re turning attention to the channel.

The company doesn’t have a professional services division, so Shiftboard says it’s leaving things like custom-tailoring the solution to VAR and ISV partners. Lhullier says they’ve worked with partners before, but they’re formalizing the program and extending resources to help the channel capitalize on the Shiftboard product and APIs by either referring new customers or rolling white-label services on top of the platform.
