Psion Teklogix Launches Global Partner Program to Spur App Development

Mobile computing vendor Psion Teklogix has established a new global Partner Program designed to spur application development. The program introduces new tools and features that enable partners to co-create and customize a wider range of mobile hardware, software and services. 

Channel partners from VARs and systems integrators to application providers can use the new program platform to develop systems that combine existing mobile-device functionality with that of more customized, proprietary units. Partners will have full access to the companys set of development tools, features and services. This open innovation platform, dubbed Ingenuity Working, allows customers, partners and developers to jointly create new mobile hardware, software and services based on open standards for hardware modules, software applications and technology. On the sales side, the program provides discounts, marketing materials and funds, as well as the usual tech support and training.

Breaking the program benefits down, partners can choose from a three-tier status menu, running from silver and gold to platinum. The company enables both distributors and partners to offer I-Serv repair and support, an enhanced suite of pre-and post-sales professional services including those for in the field, on-site, and help-desk support for all company products, on a per-project basis. Partners can also tap the companys sales and marketing expertise, as well as marketing collateral such as price lists, FAQs, and co-branded marketing campaigns. And for those partners who reach certain sales goals, the company will release joint marketing development funds for approved marketing initiatives.

The program also includes a partner council, a forum for select resellers to talk and exchange best practices ideas for the overall partner base.
