CyGlass, a network security provider, on Wednesday unveiled the second version of its Velocity partner program for MSPs, MSSPs and VARs.

The program now includes additional capabilities that give partners new autonomy for a frictionless experience in delivering CyGlass. Most notably, partners can spin up a CyGlass proof-of-concept (POC) through the portal.

UK-based cybersecurity provider Nominet acquired CyGlass in February.

CyGlass’ Ed Jackowiak

Ed Jackowiak is CyGlass’ managing director. He said CyGlass works closely with its partners and their feedback defines its road map.

“If they need something, we get it done,” he said.

Remote Work Increasing Network Risk

CyGlass provides network defense-as-a-service (NDaaS) that identifies, detect and responds to threats in a network. This is particularly advantageous with the rise in remote working, the company said.

Remote working increases the risk companies face from external threats. It creates the need to have network visibility to surface and prioritize malicious activity, it said. CyGlass allows businesses to identify and tag high-valued assets. Businesses can customize its rules and policy engine.

Velocity includes three tiers and aims to be simple, profitable and repeatable for partners. The power, accelerate and motion tiers are associated with the level of training obtained by the partner. They’re also associated with partners’ ability to provide end-user advice and support.

The tiers also determine the level of discounts and co-marketing funds partners can receive.

“The portal provides an automated process to register a deal, but they will be able to launch a POC and generate an executive summary report without the need for a human in the loop,” Jackowiak said.

The portal provides a demo environment, and sales and marketing collateral. The Velocity team also provides training and support to meet any needs a Velocity partner or their customers may require.

Velocity partners can target customers ranging from small to mid-sized businesses, to enterprise accounts. Existing CyGlass partners and those already in the Velocity program benefit from both the new updates and the availability of CyGlass through the program.

“The Velocity partner program is well structured, and provides the support and materials needed to drive success in the cyber market,” said John Dams, One Distribution‘s managing director. “This next phase in its development will undoubtedly move the needle for both the partner community and for the end users it serves. In particular, the ability to set up a POC so quickly and independently will offer partners valuable speed, something that is second to none in the world of cyber security.”
