Lancope Introduces Global Technology Partner Program

Lancope launched its global Technology Partner Program Oct. 14, designed to help partners provide best-of-breed network protection to its customers and establish a formal method for expanding its partner network.

Lancope launched its new global Technology Partner Program Oct. 14, designed to help partners provide best-of-breed network protection to its customers and establish a formal method for expanding its partner network.

“For a lot of partners that are either turning into security-focused partners or have been security-focused partners for their end users, this type of integration provides them with the ability to sell a more comprehensive story to their end users and increases the value they can provide if they are selling two or three of these integrated technology solutions to their customers,” said David Cocchiara, COO and CFO of Lancope, in an interview with The VAR Guy.

The Lancope Technology Partner Program will focus on laying out a formal process for signing on new partners and maintaining communication with existing partners to ensure the company’s products remain integrated, according to the press release. The Technology Partner Program features both Premier Partner and Featured Alliance Partner tiers, each of which comes with varying levels of technical support, training discounts and joint marketing activities. Current Premier Partners include Cisco Systems (CSCO), while Featured Alliance Partners include Barracuda Networks, Gigamon and Ixia, among others.

“The global technology program is really a way for us to help our customers to use the existing technology they have in place today to better gain that visibility [into their networks],” said Cocchiara. “The partner program is meant to align the investment customers have made and either use those investment to share information that provides additional context or to create some easy pivot points so customers can go into those other solutions by the integrations we’ve put together.”

Earlier this year, Lancope launched a separate global Secure Partner Program to introduce its StealthWatch Security System to partners outside of its U.S. distribution network and deliver training and fulfillment services to new resellers.
