Hostway Adds Channel Program for Hosting Solutions

Cloud hosting and IaaS provider Hostway Services is entering a new era by unveiling a new channel program aimed at helping Web designers and developers, VARs, MSPs and ISVs drive revenue by reselling its services to their clients.

Hostway has had a partner program for several years with more than 400 partners in its existing channel, said Jim Ciampaglio, the company’s vice president of channel sales. He tells Channel Partners the new program is an “additional channel to focus on the diverse needs of resellers.”

The first offerings available under the program are Hostway’s website, application and email hosting, and DNR services, with more to come soon. The program offers competitive discounts, as well as support benefits and “the advantage of being affiliated with a hosting provider with 17 years in the global hosting market, six data centers in the U.S. and Canada, and a footprint that includes hosting websites for more than 1.4 million SMBs,” the company said.

“We have rebuilt our reseller program from the ground up to provide both the support infrastructure and the financial incentives that our partners need to be successful,” Ciampaglio added. “Our hosting services are natural add-ons for Web designers and developers, VARs, ISVs and MSPs, and this new program makes it easier and more lucrative than ever to generate incremental income by piggybacking on our services.”

The new reseller program features a four-tier structure with discounts ranging from 5 to 30 percent, depending on monthly expenses. It also includes dedicated account managers from a team devoted to supporting resellers, a support phone number that expedites troubleshooting and a “complete ecosystem enabling resellers to exchange ideas and build relationships through a partner portal, blog and other mechanisms.”

“The goal is to develop and nurture a reseller program targeted to the specific needs of resellers,” Ciampaglio said. “We focused on providing the key features resellers need to succeed. That means we started with a higher level of support so resellers can quickly get the answers they need and not lose time troubleshooting.”

Hostway has added to its partner portal co-brandable marketing materials, training modules and a partner ecosystem where “resellers can market their products and services to other members of the Hostway Reseller community,” he said.

Hostway provides IaaS services to more than 500,000 customers across the globe.
