The company has also hired David Hand as vice president of GSIs. In this new role, he’ll develop and accelerate strategic global partnerships with system integrators.

With High Wire Networks’ technology portfolio reaching from within the data center out to the desktop, the company anticipates projects for GSIs such as data center refresh and buildout; cable infrastructure; wireless solutions; desktop device services; network services; Overwatch cybersecurity; and many options for staffing solutions.

“For the past 15 years, High Wire Networks has had SIs as part of the existing channel partner community,” he said. “With the executive team’s experience with the GSIs, this is the formalization of this channel.”

High Wire has built its channel on ease of engagement, Schmidt said. The company also provides subject-matter experts aligned with efficient, cost-effective solution modeling.

“Knowing the high demands and timelines that are placed on the GSIs, we’re confident that this known and successful channel partner business approach will drive the GSI partners success with the larger multinational clients,” he said.

For more than 20 years, Hand has held executive management positions for companies within the technology industry. As global vice president of GSIs at Nortel, his team supported HP, Unisys, SAIC, BT and CSC on commercial and federal business. After growing Nortel’s global partnership with CSC to $100 million annually, he was tapped for a leadership role at CSC (now DXC).

“I’m thrilled to join the High Wire team and build the GSI partner program,” Hand said. “High Wire Networks has established a great track record over the past 20 years in support of technology partners delivering service to large enterprise customers. High Wire has the breadth, depth and experience to support these strategic partners around the world.”
