Channel Program Roundup: Schneider Electric, CTP, GlobalSCAPE

Welcome back to Channel Partner Program Roundup, folks! Today we've got the latest news from Schneider Electric, Cloud Technology Partners and GlobalSCAPE, so let's get started.

Schneider Electric: Energy management and automation solution provider Schneider Electric has expanded its Advanced Solutions Partner (ASP) program with the addition of Capitol Power. Schneider said the partnership will enable it to increase its presence in the data center and industrial applications markets in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.

Capitol Power currently serves Maryland; Washington, D.C.; Virginia; North Carolina; and South Carolina, and is the first ASP program member to expand support and services provided by Schneider's Partner and Energy business, according to the announcement.

“As the data center landscape evolves, data center professionals are increasingly looking for partners who can help them solve their business problems,” said Chuck Buckley, senior vice president of the North America IT Business, Schneider Electric, in a statement. “Through this partnership, Schneider Electric and Capitol Power will provide the expertise, services and integrated solutions customers need to reduce complexity and time-to-market.”

Cloud Technology Partners: Professional services firm Cloud Technology partners was named a Premier Consulting Partner by Amazon Web Services during this week's AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas.

The award signifies the highest distinction that a partner can achieve with AWS and signifies Cloud Technology Partners' dedication to serving its customers, according to Amazon.

"Cloud Technology Partners has a proven track record of successful client deployments on AWS and has demonstrated success in helping customers optimize their use of the AWS platform," said Terry Wise, vice president of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services The company has demonstrated proven expertise in helping customers leverage DevOps principles on AWS through its achievement of the APN DevOps Competency."

GlobalSCAPE: Secure information exchange provider GlobalSCAPE has promoted Matt Goulet to chief operating officer, responsible for leading the company's go-to-market value chain and driving product strategy, engineering and quality assurance. Goulet will retain his previous responsibilities in managing the company's global sales and marketing teams.

Prior to joining GlobalSCAPE in 2013, Goulet served as vice president of SME Sales and Operations, North America, at Kaspersky Lab, and has also worked for companies including Avnet (AVT), Amherst Technologies and RAID.

"Matt is a seasoned and trusted leader who, since joining Globalscape, has consistently delivered results," said James Bindseil, president and CEO of Globalscape. "I have tremendous confidence in Matt’s ability to align Globalscape’s world-class sales and marketing organization with our product and engineering teams to continue to drive and extend Globalscape’s market share."
