Channel Partner Program Roundup: PlanetOne Communications, Symantec, Vartopia

Welcome back to Channel Partner Program Roundup, folks! This week we've got the latest news from our friends at PlanetOne Communications, Symantec (SYMC) and Vartopia. Let's dig in.

PlanetOne: PlanetOne Communications has added NTT Americas, a subsidiary of NTT Communications Corp., as a member of its provider portfolio. The Scottsdale, Arizona-based channel and telecom partner is now authorized to offer NTT Com's cloud, network and data center services to its channel partners in the United States.

“With more than two decades of experience in the telecom industry, PlanetOne has a proven track record for success and partner enablement,” said Rob Westervelt, vice president and general manager, Indirect Global Solutions, NTT America, in a statement. "We are pleased to be working with them as part of our Global Solutions Channel Partner Program and look forward to expanding our presence in North America."

Symantec: The cybersecurity company recently launched Symantec Secure One, an enhanced partner program that seeks to help resellers unlock higher earning potential through simplified competency and certification requirements. The program also includes a revamped Growth Accelerator Rebate as well as a new distributor program to support partner growth, according to the announcement.

The program is now live for Symantec's global reseller ecosystem. The distribution program enhancements are expected to go live in the coming weeks, although no specific date has been announced.

“With an increased focus on cybersecurity and a strengthened portfolio aimed squarely at solutions that address today’s most sophisticated attackers, we’re rolling out Symantec Secure One to enable our partners to leverage our products and services to grow their businesses,” said John Thompson, global senior vice president of Partner and Channel Sales at Symantec. “At its core, the enhanced program provides our partners with a clear path to take advantage of the innovation and growth we expect to drive as the world’s largest cybersecurity company.”

Vartopia: Channel automation solutions provider Vartopia has passed $50 billion in estimated deal value and added five new vendors to its Vartopia Deal Registration Network. The total number of resellers using the network now totals more than 1,700, according to the company.

The new network vendor members include Alert Logic, Panzura, SimpliVity, Skyport Systems and Tintri. They join existing members NIMBOXX, Stanley Healthcare and VMTurbo, among others. Vartopia said it expects further program expansion to accelerate in Q4 2015 and early 2016 following the addition of thenew offerings and vendors.

"Vartopia has always strived to accelerate time-to-revenue and improve channel profitability for resellers and vendors,” said Michael Reilly, chief executive officer at Vartopia. “Beyond simply making it easier for partners to do business with them, vendors are also making it easier for their sales teams to manage the process in their CRM while empowering partners to operationalize based on their internal business process.”

That's all for this week folks. See you back here next time, but until then, stay safe out there.
