Channel Partner Program Roundup: Hortonworks, Dataguise, Oracle

This week in channel partner program roundup we’re highlighting the latest news from Hortonworks, Dataguise and Oracle (ORCL).

Hortonworks: Hortonworks, an open enterprise Hadoop-based platform developer, recently unveiled its new global partner program, called Horton Partnerworks.

The program, which is expected to debut this month, was designed to boost partner selling and provide resellers with access to new go-to-market capabilities, training, resources and more, according to the announcement.

The Partnerworks program is made up of three different programs, each catering to a specific set of Hortonworks partners. Specific efforts surrounding ISV/IHV partners, Consultants and Resellers will serve the varying needs of each group. As with other partner efforts of its ilk, each specific program will consist of several tiers containing exclusive reseller benefits.

Dataguise: Data security solutions provider Dataguise has partnered with Trace3, a company specializing in big data intelligence, cloud and data center solutions. Trace3 is now authorized to sell Dataguise’s DgSecure solution to its customers.

The partnership is expected to help Dataguise market its security solutions to the enterprise crowd, according to the announcement. The company recently participated in last month’s 2016 Trace3 Evolve Conference in Las Vegas to kick off the partnership.

“Our customers face growing challenges in protecting sensitive data throughout the enterprise,” said Juan Guevara, VP, Big Data Solutions, Trace3. “Our partnership with Dataguise addresses those concerns, since Dataguise delivers data privacy protection and risk assessment analytics that allow organizations to safely leverage and share enterprise data.

Oracle: Oracle launched the Oracle PartnerNetwork Cloud Program on Tuesday, which is aimed at boosting partners’ cloud prowess by providing them with the opportunity to demonstrate their unique skills as resellers.

The program includes four tiers, with benefits for each tier aimed at furthering partners’ ability to attract new customers, according to the announcement. A partner’s cloud performance metrics will be used to qualify members into one of the four tiers, thus determining their benefits.

“OPN now offers the most comprehensive portfolio of cloud programs available today,” said Shawn Price, senior vice president of Oracle Cloud. “Our rapid growth and extensive SaaS, PaaS and IaaS cloud portfolio presents an unparalleled opportunity for partners and customers alike. We can now equip our highly experienced partners with the tools they need to successfully move their customers to modern business models.
