Channel Partner Program Roundup: Cisco, Vound, Zerto
Top o’ the morning, and welcome to the Channel Partner Program Roundup. While most weeks we sport a cowboy theme, this week in honor of St. Patrick’s Day and all the Irish who’ve made their mark on the west (did you know Tucson, Ariz., was founded by an Irishman?), we’re all shamrocks and shillelaghs. So don your leprechaun hat as we take a look at news from Cisco Systems, Vound Software and Zerto.
So don your leprechaun hat as we take a look at news from Cisco Systems (CSCO), Vound Software and Zerto.
Cisco: En Pointe Technologies, a Gold certified Cisco partner, has achieved Identity Services Engine (ISE) Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco. This designation recognizes En Pointe as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, deploy and support Cisco ISE products and solutions.
The Cisco ISE platform is a contextually-based access control solution that offers visibility and control to ensure a highly secure enterprise and efficiently enforce security policy across an entire distributed network, according to the company. The Cisco ISE offers authenticated network access, profiling, posture and guest management along with monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting capabilities on a single physical or virtual appliance.
“The networking landscape continues to become more complex due to an increase in mobile users requiring access to data and applications from virtually anywhere, from any device. Companies are looking for immediate ways to maintain stringent compliance with BYOD and unified access control demands,” said Herb Hogue, senior vice president of Professional Services and Engineering at En Pointe Technologies. “As a Cisco Gold and ISE Certified Partner, En Pointe is uniquely qualified to design security solutions, leveraging Cisco’s ISE, to help manage multiple access scenarios and support a company’s BYOD initiatives.”
Vound Software: The global provider of e-discovery forensics solutions has tapped Terry Steer as head of Global Channels and Strategic Accounts. As part of the company’s international expansion in the forensics and e-discovery marketplace, Steer will be responsible for driving global channel sales and providing customer service and marketing support to Vound’s resellers and strategic corporate, law firm, law enforcement and government accounts.
“Terry Steer has a solid track record of success at some of the world’s most respected IT companies, and we are extremely pleased to have him head our Global Channels and Strategic Accounts efforts,” said Vound CEO Peter Mercer. “Vound is quickly becoming the must-have forensic search technology for almost any investigation or e-discovery review. With Steer’s business and management capabilities helping to propel us, we look forward to a banner year in 2014.”
Steer brings to Vound 25 years of expertise in forensics, e-discovery, cybersecurity and enterprise computing. Most recently, Steer was the regional sales manager for AccessData, where he oversaw forensic, e-discovery and cybersecurity business across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to that, he was the enterprise sales manager at Thales E-Security. Previously, Steer held senior business, sales and marketing positions with Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Fujitsu, Infinite IT and Matrix Storage.
Zerto: The hypervisor-based business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) solutions vendor reported it is seeing growth and demand for its offerings, especially in the Asia Pacific region. Seoul Daily News, EUKOR Car Carriers and Comvita are a few of the companies that have signed on with Zerto’s solution.
To help meet the demand in the APAC region, Zerto recently opened an office located in Sydney, Australia. To support its customers, Zerto has signed on a number of channel partners include Chungdam IT in Korea and Thomas Duryea and Macquarie Telecom, both in Australia.
And that’s the Channel Partner Program Roundup for this week. Next week we’ll be back in our spurs and chaps. Until then, stay safe.
