Channel Partner Program Roundup: Avaya, Lancope, Gravitant

Happy Thursday, and welcome to the Channel Partner Program Roundup, our weekly foray into what’s happening in the channel partner space. This week we’ve got news from Avaya, Lancope and Gravitant, so if you’re ready, let’s ride.

Avaya: The communications and networking vendor announced its Avaya Connect Channel Partners of the Year for 2013. These partners were recognized during Avaya’s Americas Executive Partner Forum in Cancun, Mexico.

The Avaya Connect Channel Partner Program is a global reseller program that makes it easy for partners to get fast access to Avaya resources and innovations. The Avaya Connect channel partners receiving awards at this year’s conference were:

Lancope: The network visibility and security intelligence has appointed Dan Sibille as vice president of Channels. He has more than 20 years of experience driving channel sales and marketing for networking, security and video collaboration companies including 3Com, Extreme Networks, Internet Security Systems, WatchGuard Technologies, LifeSize Communications and Polycom.

In his new role, he will develop and lead Lancope’s worldwide channel sales and marketing strategy, global partner program and strategic relationships with a full spectrum of partners to drive partner recruitment, market awareness and revenue growth.

Prior to joining Lancope, Sibille served as vice president of Channel Sales for Altia Systems, as well as vice president of North America Channels for Polycom, where he worked with close to 5,000 channel partners and bolstered strategic alliances with companies including HP, IBM and Microsoft. He was also the director of Americas channels for LifeSize, a division of Logitech.

Gravitant: The enterprise cloud brokerage and management software vendor has hired Tim Galligan as its new senior vice president of Worldwide Sales. He brings more than 23 years of experience in enterprise software to Gravitant and will be responsible for all aspects of sales of Gravitant’s cloudMatrix solution to strategic systems integrators and enterprise customers.

Prior to joining Gravitant, Galligan was SVP of Customer Operations at Zenoss. Earlier, he held sales executive leadership roles at Sun Microsystems, Bowstreet, Motive Communications and Tivoli, where he was vice president of Technical Sales from its formative stage through its acquisition by IBM.

And that’s the roundup for this week. Mosey on back next week to see what’s going on in the channel. Until then, stay safe.
